Large Blue & White Antique Pitcher
There so much to love about this statuesque blue and white, floral design pitcher. Although there is no Makers Mark is does appear to be old. It could be attributed and produced by the David Johnston Bordeaux factory (Bordeaux Pottery); it looks a very similar design. Features include an intricate blue transferware pattern on a cream-white ironstone/earthenware body. The shape is ornate, with a rococo style handle, a sculpted wide pouring spout and an elegant pedestal foot. A lot to love. There are what I think are age related marks on the interior walls but otherwise it is looking pretty good. Measures 10.5ins tall and almost 9ins across at the widest point. And, just look at that handle!
