Vintage Prinknash Bowl
Anything in black always attracts me and this small Prinknash bowl might end up in my bathroom! Measuring 7ins diameter it would be lovely for soaps, shells and candles. Of course it’s gorgeous enough to use in any room. Prinknash Pottery was founded in 1942 by Benedictine monks at Prinknash Abbey in Cranham, near Gloucester. The monks produced pottery on-site until 1997, after which the operation was sold to the Welsh Porcelain Company before eventually closing in 2003. This bowl does have a slight crack, which I hadn’t previously noticed because of the textured finish. I have priced accordingly.
