Mason’s ‘Ascot Red’ Dinner Plate
Just one, but isn’t it gorgeous. With its fluted edge, central floral urn design and the geometric lace effect borders; not to mention the distinctive red colour. Hang it on your wall, prop it on your dresser or shelf, present a pile of steaming roast vegetables on it, or dress it with a red candle, stars and foliage. What’s not to love? Measures almost 11ins diameter. The usual crazing but still colourfast. Originally introduced in the mid-20th century (with many pieces dating from the late 1940s through the late 1960s).
