Antique Doulton Royal Commemorative Cup & Saucer

It’s staggering to believe that this delightful cup and saucer was produced to celebrate the Royal marriage of Prince George, Duke of York, and Princess Victoria in 1893!  It is 133 years old. They later ascended to the throne as King George & Queen Mary in 1910. Such a piece of history and wonderful that it has survived intact. In a sepia transfer print with plenty of detail on both pieces. I love the way the graphics have been shown off centre on the saucer. There is a registration number on the base of the saucer so it was an approved design. Google attributes it to Doulton, Burslem, before it became Royal Doulton. Measures: Saucer 5.5ins diameter. Cup 2.75ins diameter x 2.75ins tall.
