Vintage Indonesian ‘Krupuk’ Caddy

You’ve got to love peeling paint and ingrained patina to fall for this large red and blue vintage caddy! I certainly have done. Measuring 17ins tall x 9.25ins square this is from Indonesia originally and used by street traders to sell and display prawn crackers or candy. The glass front shows off their wares perfectly. Nowadays it is a little cloudy, but is intact. I think it is just a bit grubby! I have left it as found to preserve its authenticity. Wonderful as a lantern; the lid can be removed. You could use a battery operated candle though which would be safer.  There is also a hook to hang it on a wall or from a shelf.
