Price Brothers Honeycomb Duet
Wonderfully cottage core examples of vintage Kensington Ware, stamped Price Brothers on the base, ceramic table pottery. Produced in England during the 1930s to 1940s they feature a highly recognizable, textured honeycomb pattern. Decorated with relief-molded, hand-painted floral clusters and relief honeybees. What we now think of as a sugar bowl was likely originally a honey pot that has mislaid its lid. Both pieces are crazed throughout, showing their age and adding to the honeycombs effect. The little creamer/milk jug makes this a lovely little vintage set.
