Rare John Tams Large ‘Blue Willow’ Butter Dish
A rare find. I love a butter dish and was thrilled to find this large example in the traditional and iconic ‘Blue Willow’ pattern. Produced by John Tams c1900 so it has done very well to survive these years! Complete with the lid which fits well, despite a large chip underneath. The chip is not visible from above. The gold trim is, of course, worn but overall in good condition. Use it for your butter or fill with trinkets or bits and bobs. Measures 6.25ins long plus handles x 3.25ins tall x 3.75ins wide. So much detail; even on each end. A lovely antique piece by an English maker based in Staffordshire at the turn of the century.
