Large Asiatic Pheasant Lidded Tureen
Remaining highly collectible the Asiatic Pheasant pattern was originally produced by Burleigh pottery in Staffordshire but has been copied by many manufacturers during the Victorian era. Wedgwood, Mintons and Royal Doulton all used this design. Although this gorgeous lidded and scalloped tureen has no Makers Mark it is quite possibly in the best condition I have seen for some time. Fluted edges, complete lid, undamaged handle and a beautiful pale blue. Measures 12.5ins x 9.5ins and approximately 6ins tall. It’s a beauty.
