Antique Needlework Sampler

Everything about this exquisite sampler is appealing. From the stunning workmanship, the colours, evidence of age and of course the message. 
‘Happiness is catching. We get it from each other’. 
Dated 1841 and I’m hoping it is true. I know some kits could be bought in the twentieth century with this design, but this does look authentically antique. It has to be said that I’m no expert though. Measures 16.5ins x 14.25ins. Would look lovely framed and hung on your wall or propped on a shelf. The perfect surprise gift for a friend too.
