Vintage fairs, magazine spreads & what’s next…

Suddenly summer was over...

...and the rain tap was turned on. Everywhere is looking greener, though with a last minute reprieve for the flower beds.

I do love autumn colours. They reflect the repurposing spirit of Elsie’s Vintage so well. I often scoop up crispy leaves, shiny conkers and red berries to include in my photos. Did you spot the beautiful rose hips I used to highlight the red and black painter’s kettle recently? Rustic farmhouse vibes are definitely back on the website.

I showed my face and wares at the Vintage and Collectables Fair held at Staffordshire County Showground this month. Such an enjoyable and vibrant event. It’s always motivating to meet my customers and talk all things vintage and recycling! Thank you for your support whether online or in real life; it all matters to me.

Christmas came early too!

Amazingly, Elsie’s Vintage featured in the Christmas Supplement of Country Living magazine! Imagine my surprise and joy to see a pair of bread tins I had sourced and sold. They were all dressed up in gold baubles with a full-page photograph! It’s on Page 146 and available now. It gave me such pleasure to be recognised and, best of all, I think my boys were a little bit proud of me!

There’s never a dull moment at EV HQ! A recent trip to Malvern Flea means the Shack is fully restocked and I’m already planning what's next.

Always thinking ahead; a Bits & Props solo event sometime in October, another fair at Stafford on 8/9 November, a Christmas themed collaborative Gifts & Props, plenty of ‘Thrown Together’ Sunday sets and of course the twice weekly challenges for the vintage community on Instagram to join in. Supporting other small businesses is key to how we all thrive and build a happy community.
