Autumn Beckons

What a glorious summer it has been. I’ve loved the wall to wall sunshine; even if my garden wasn’t so keen. Fried blooms and yellowing lawns. But I’m certainly not complaining; my shorts have been a constant uniform. Some sturdier flowers did make it through adding colour

We also started building the new Summerhouse and trying to use as much reclaimed material as possible. Stained glass windows added a touch of style to the natural wood structure.

An old pew from our antique centre in a church was saved when we closed down and will be sanded, varnished and loaded with piles of blankets ready for Autumn evening chills.

There’s still a way to go, but we will get there.

And, of course, I have been curating plenty of vintage and antique treasures for you. Getting up early for flea markets and salvage shows to be sure that I find the very best. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it!

Then, cleaning and sometimes repairing. Making sure that I style in a way that gives you ideas how to repurpose without creating a false image. I’ve enjoyed taking plenty of photographs using seasonal flowers. Loading the website and Social Media too.

But, of course, I’ve loved all of it and now Autumn has arrived and, with a new season, comes new colours, cosy scenes and more rustic pieces. I hope you will enjoy it all with me.
