Large Glass Vintage Apothecary Jar

At first sight this large jar looks like a sweet jar, but on closer inspection and after some research, it was used in an apothecary. The label on the jar reads "LEYTON’S L.L.C. LOZENGES" and details historical active ingredients at the bottom, including traditional, highly controlled additives like Ether and Chloroform. These were commonly used in over-the-counter medicine during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I’m not sure I would recommend them nowadays! Overall in good condition and measuring 11.75ins tall x 6ins diameter at the base. A great storage jar or vase.
