Antique Asiatic Pheasant Tureen

No styling, just this statement piece Transferware Asiatic Pheasant tureen saying it all. Instantly recognisable. The calming pale blue depicts elegant pheasants nestled among lush, blooming florals, peonies, and wild roses. I was so fortunate to bring this home from an antique fair. It is in remarkable condition considering it is late Victorian judging from the mark on the base. Just light crazing; no chips or cracks.  Standing tall on its own decorated pedestaled or footed base with scrollwork ornate handles on either side and a twisted ribbon-style ring handle on the domed lid. A wonderful piece measuring approximately 10ins tall. Base diameter 6ins. Width including handles 11.5ins. Opening diameter 8ins.
