Vintage Metal Coin Counter

I was delighted to find this vintage coin counter; likely used in a banking or retail setting. With varying depths of the compartments it could be used efficiently according to the coin value. Possibly from the mid twentieth century or even earlier. It is on a raised metal base which shows signs of rust. A quirky piece indeed and a real conversation starter. Measures 9.5ins x 8.5ins.
