Brutalist Style French Pitcher

I just had to bring this gorgeous red and black pitcher home. I bought it from a couple who were bringing it back from France and very sad to let it go. I know how they feel. If you live in a neutral coloured home sometimes just one piece can give it a focus or a lift and I think this old pitcher could be that piece. It’s heavy and clearly hand thrown; you won’t find another the same with its little marks and original dints in the pottery. Ridged and a bit chippy in places, giving it character. Measures 7.5ins tall x 5ins diameter at the base.
