Vintage German Berry Bowl
Such a vibrant buttercup yellow and that’s what caught my eye. With its distinctive German stylised shield logo it is clearly from Max Roesler, at the Darmstadt branch in Hesse, Germany. This specific maker's mark dates exactly between 1929 and 1931. Remarkable to think it is almost a century old! Designed as a berry draining bowl and has little feet to raise it from the plate that would probably have matched it underneath. Overall an attractive and functional piece. Measures 9ins diameter, 3ins high.
