Antique Field’s Ink & Gum Bottle
When I see these, which is not often, I grab them! I love the knowledge that this stoneware ink bottle has been used in the late 1800’s. Sitting on a master writer’s table while they craft a newspaper, invoices, receipts and letters. Full of crazing, rusty marks and unique staining as a result of being buried and then dug up. Sturdy and utilitarian in a cream stoneware. Now sought after as bud vases or candleholders. 2.25ins square x 2.75ins high approximately.
