I believe this heavy, old, shallow bowl to be an offertory or church collection plate. It is tactile and beautifully made in a light wood. With its own integral stand and recessed centre it is an outstanding piece which could be utilised in any home. If I had a hall table it could live there to collect keys and that lipstick I can never quite lay my hands on! Measures almost 10.5ins diameter.
