1950’s French Salad Basket

There is some debate about this quite rare spherical articulated structure. I was sold it as a multiple egg boiler; place plenty of eggs in it and lower into your pan. However, I have since researched it and am told it is a 1950’s French salad basket. Crafted from wire mesh with a spherical articulated structure and charming foot-shaped handles. These days they are quite a rare find and used as decorative pieces. Mid century French design built to last! Measures approximately 24ins diameter. An unusual and interesting piece.
